Effective Date: 1st June 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Sell-It GCC ("Sell-It", "we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy

explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you

use our platform.

2. Who We Are

Sell-It GCC is an online property advertising platform connecting sellers and

buyers across the GCC. We do not act as agents, brokers, or intermediaries.

3. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: Name, email, phone, WhatsApp
  • Account Information
  • Usage Data (IP, browser, device)
  • Communication Data

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to operate the platform, connect users, and improve

services. We do not use data for unrelated purposes.

5. Data Protection & Security

We use industry-standard safeguards. Access is restricted. However, no system is

100% secure.

6. No Selling or Misuse of Data

Your data is never sold or rented. It is only used within Sell-It.

7. GCC Compliance

We comply with applicable GCC data protection principles. Data is processed

lawfully and securely.

8. Account Deletion and the "Cool-Off" Period

When you request account deletion, we deactivate access and mark your account as

deleted (soft delete).

For a defined period (currently 30 days), you may sign in with the same

email and password to restore your account and profile.

After that period, we stop treating the account as personally identifiable in

our user directory.

9. What We Remove or Anonymize After the Retention Period

After the retention period, we remove or replace personal data held on your user

profile, including for example:

  • Name and other profile fields used to identify you
  • Email address and phone number
  • National ID and related verification information, where stored
  • Other optional profile data (e.g. profile image, contact preferences)

Your login identifier may be replaced with an internal placeholder so technical

and security records remain consistent without linking to your real identity in

our user database.

10. What We May Keep (and Why)

To comply with legal, tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and dispute-resolution

obligations, we do not necessarily delete all data that ever related to you. We

may retain, for the time required by law or legitimate business need:

  • Sale or service agreements and related documents
  • Deposit / security / guarantee records and certificates, where applicable
  • Payment and transaction records (e.g. amounts, references, dates, payment

status)

Where we retain such records, we limit use to those purposes and protect the

data with appropriate safeguards.

11. Communications

We may send you a confirmation email when you delete your account, describing

the retention period and what is removed versus what may be kept.

12. Your Rights and Erasure Limits

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as: access, correction,

objection, and erasure where applicable, and the right to lodge a complaint with

a supervisory authority.

Erasure may be limited where the law requires us to retain certain

information (see Section 10). Where retention applies, we use data only for

those permitted purposes.

13. International Processing and Hosting

Where your data is processed or stored, including any transfers or hosting, we

implement appropriate measures as required by applicable law. If you have

questions about locations or transfers, contact us using the details below.
